Athens-Limestone Hospital launches ‘Healthy Conversations’ podcast

ATHENS — Designed to be informative and approachable, the “Healthy Conversations” podcast has been launched by Athens-Limestone Hospital.

The new video podcast and talk show was created to provide healthcare education, promote hospital services, and connect the community with the professionals who care for them, according to a news release.

Hosted by Susan Claborn, marketing director for Athens-Limestone Hospital, and a rotating team of community co-hosts, “Healthy Conversations” features physicians, nurses, and hospital staff as special guests. They will provide insight into a wide range of health topics — from diabetes, women’s health, and asthma to mental wellness and hospital services.

“This program was inspired by a desire to make healthcare education more accessible, engaging, and personal,” said Claborn. “We wanted to reach people in the ways they get most of their information these days — through podcasts, social media, and video — and bring trusted voices from our hospital directly to them.”

Each episode spotlights people and conversations. Guests will include medical experts from a variety of specialties, as well as staff members who work behind the scenes to keep the hospital running smoothly.

With episodes released every Thursday at 6 a.m., the podcast is available on the hospital’s website, YouTube channel, and major podcast platforms. The community is urged to tune in, subscribe, and even suggest topics for future episodes.
