A Huntsville defense contractor is among four companies selected to compete for future task orders under a U.S. Army contract valued at up to $44.6 million for ammunition industrial base engineering support services.

The Army awarded Blue Skies Inc., headquartered in Huntsville, along with Dalcom LLC of Galena, Maryland; DBOC JV of Fairfax, Virginia; and The Productivity Team LLC of Lake Orion, Michigan, positions on the multiple-award, firm-fixed-price contract.

The contract has a ceiling value of $44,622,497, with work expected to continue through Aug. 2, 2030.

Unlike a traditional contract award, the selection does not guarantee any company a specific amount of work. Instead, the four firms will compete for individual task orders as engineering support needs arise during the life of the contract. Work locations and funding will be determined separately for each order.

Army Contracting Command in Newark, New Jersey, received four bids through an internet solicitation.

Blue Skies specializes in engineering, manufacturing and defense industrial base consulting, helping companies execute Department of Defense contracts while providing industrial engineering, supply chain management and production support. The Huntsville-based company is located on University Drive near the city’s research and defense corridor.

The engineering support services are intended to strengthen the Army’s ammunition industrial base by providing expertise that supports manufacturing, modernization and sustainment efforts across government production facilities.
