Clift Farm opens Village Green with family-friendly fun and big plans ahead

MADISON — With snow cones and face-painting, Clift Farm celebrated the official opening of the Village Green.

The new outdoor gathering space is designed to be the heart of the growing mixed-use development in Madison County.

Whitney Strong, marketing coordinator for Clift Farm and Town Madison, said Tuesday’s inaugural event, sponsored by Chick-fil-A, was all about offering “family, free fun.”

Attendees also took part in balloon art and other kid-friendly activities, with local businesses surrounding the lawn.

“We are so excited to have the community out here,” Strong said, noting that Village Green is intended to be a hub for entertainment, wellness and connection. “It’s a community-oriented space where we’ll have live music, yoga on the lawn, fun events like this and so much more.”

The Village Green measures about three-quarters of an acre, with a stage on one end and open green space on the other, offering plenty of room for performances, classes and community gatherings.

Originally a family farm, Clift Farm spans more than 500 acres and has transformed into a mixed-use destination featuring restaurants, shops, businesses along with more than 680 residences, including homes and apartments.

While Tuesday’s event was the first of its kind, it won’t be the last.

“Make sure to follow us on social media at @CliftFarmAL,” Strong said. “We have so many fun events coming up, live music, yoga on the lawn, story time for kids, and more.”

Strong also said the Village Green is available to rent for private events.
