Elvis tribute to benefit Marshall memorial

HUNTSVILLE — Things are about to get all shook up … and we’re not talking rocket launches.

Well, then again, we are kind of.

The Ultimate Elvis Tribute will hit the stage next month in a benefit show for the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Space Exploration Memorial Space Explorers Honor Roll.

It’s the ultimate Elvis experience featuring three Elvis tribute artists spanning the career of the legendary performer.

Shawn Klush, Cody Slaughter and Ryan Pelton will be gyrating and fans will be swooning. And it’s all for a good cause. Also joining the party are special guests Larry Strickland & The Blackwood Quartet.

The memorial will recognize and honor the people and companies whose dedicated teamwork made America’s space exploration possible from right here in Huntsville. It will salute these space explorers and serve as an inspiration for future generations to follow in their footsteps and take us beyond.

The show is Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Von Braun Center’s Mark C. Smith Concert Hall. Tickets are available at the VBC box office or online at ticketmaster.com.
