“Huntsville Hospital is where our community turns in moments of need,” said Classic co-Chair Ginger Harper. “Supporting Classic means supporting the caregivers, technologies and programs that serve our families every single day.

“It is an honor to help bring our community together for something that makes such a meaningful difference.”

Thomas has achieved 80 million records sold worldwide across his work with Matchbox Twenty, his solo career and numerous collaborations. His accolades include three Grammy Awards, a triple-platinum global smash with Santana on “Smooth,” and three consecutive Top 10 solo albums on the Billboard 200.

His catalog spans solo hits like “Lonely No More,” “This Is How a Heart Breaks,” and “Street Corner Symphony,” along with Matchbox Twenty staples including “Push,” “3AM,” and “If You’re Gone.”

Recognized as the first recipient of the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Hal David Starlight Award, Thomas continues to push his craft forward with his sixth solo album, “All Night Days”, which he calls “a collection of the best 11 songs I’ve written since ‘Chip Tooth Smile’.”

Proceeds from the 2026 Huntsville Classic concert will benefit the highest-priority needs of not-for-profit Huntsville Hospital, Madison Hospital, and Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, including:

  • Grief support for children at The Caring House,
  • Emergency Department expansion at Madison Hospital, improving access for 50,000+ patients annually,
  • A new echocardiogram machine for the Heart Center, reducing wait times and repeat visits for heart patients.

Funds raised will help strengthen critical services, enhance patient care, and provide comfort and resources for families across North Alabama.

“Our public hospitals support families through some of life’s hardest moments, and Classic is a chance for all of us to strengthen that care for our community,” said Classic co-chair Lynn Troy. “I’m passionate about this event because I’ve seen how Huntsville Hospital Foundation provides the resources that help make compassionate care possible for families in their most difficult moments.”
