A weeklong series of yoga classes and wellness events will return to Huntsville next month, offering residents a mix of free outdoor sessions, discounted specialty classes and community-focused programming.

Huntsville Yoga Week, hosted by Light On Yoga Fitness, is scheduled for May 11 through May 17 and will feature events at several prominent locations across the city.

Organizers say the initiative is designed to make yoga more accessible while showcasing Huntsville’s growing wellness community.

“Huntsville Yoga Week was created with North Alabama’s growing yoga community in mind,” said Connor Humphrey, co-owner of Light On Yoga Fitness. “We believe yoga is for anyone and everyone. This week is all about coming together, enjoying great classes, and experiencing some amazing venues across our city.”

The lineup includes seven free outdoor classes held at venues such as The Orion Amphitheater and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, along with sessions at Village of Providence, Clift Farm, Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium, the Huntsville Museum of Art and the Artemis Pavilion at MidCity.

Outdoor classes are free and open to the public, with participants encouraged to bring their own mats. Additional offerings include free in-studio mat classes and $5 aerial yoga sessions, which require advance registration due to limited space.

Organizers said the classes are designed for all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners.

Huntsville Yoga Week is part of a broader effort to promote health, fitness and community engagement across North Alabama, with organizers emphasizing accessibility and inclusivity as central goals.
