Huntsville-based Abaco Systems has been awarded a $10.1 million U.S. Air Force contract supporting the B-1B bomber, with all of the work set to be performed in Huntsville.
The firm-fixed-price contract provides for B-1B sustainment services and spare power supplies for ethernet switch units, according to the Department of War.
Work is expected to continue through Nov. 26, 2027.
The full $10,089,723 contract amount was obligated at the time of the award using fiscal 2026 contract depot maintenance funds. The Air Force Sustainment Center at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia is the contracting activity.
The B-1B Lancer is a long-range bomber operated by the U.S. Air Force. The latest contract adds Abaco Systems to the network of companies providing the equipment and services needed to keep the aircraft operational.
Headquartered in Huntsville, Abaco specializes in rugged embedded computing systems and electronics designed for military, aerospace and other demanding environments. Its products include single-board computers, digital signal processing technology and other computing hardware used across air, land, sea and space applications.
Abaco operates as a business unit of AMETEK, which acquired the company in 2021. The company maintains its headquarters at Redstone Gateway along with engineering and operations capabilities in Huntsville.
The latest award keeps the entirety of the B-1B contract work in Huntsville through late 2027.
