Madison Visionary Partners is inviting residents to participate in its annual Big Weekend of Service on June 19-20, a community-wide volunteer effort supporting projects across Madison and Madison County.

The two-day event will bring together volunteers, nonprofit organizations, civic groups, city departments and local businesses for a variety of service projects aimed at improving the community.

Organizers say the event offers opportunities for individuals, families and teams to contribute through projects ranging from beautification and cleanup efforts to direct support for local programs.

“Our goal is to create opportunities for people to come together and make a difference,” said Christina Hearne, executive director of Madison Visionary Partners. “This weekend is about building connections, showing pride in our city, and supporting the incredible organizations that serve Madison every day.”

Volunteer activities will include cleanup and beautification projects, backpack packing, trailhead construction, painting, trash collection and other community improvement efforts throughout Madison and surrounding areas.

Madison Visionary Partners said the event is designed to encourage community involvement while supporting organizations that provide services and resources to local residents.

Residents interested in participating can register as individuals, families or groups and view a complete list of volunteer opportunities through the organization’s website.

Founded in 2014, Madison Visionary Partners is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting community projects through philanthropy and partnerships. The organization’s mission is to enhance quality of life in the City of Madison through collaborative community initiatives.
