HUNTSVILLE — QinetiQ, a leading defense and national security company, has officially launched operations in the Rocket City.

The move to Redstone Gateway will help to enhance the company’s ability to support critical programs including the recently awarded the Army Aerial Target Systems 3 (ATS-3) contract, which supports the Army’s Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO) at Huntsville’s Redstone Arsenal. QinetiQ won the $95 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in October.

Additionally, the expansion will position QinetiQ to better overall serve current and future customers in the region. The corporation hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday to mark the milestone.

“This strategic expansion enhances our ability to support critical defense programs and deliver advanced capabilities across autonomous systems, ISR, mission operations, and digital solutions,” a statement from the company said following the opening. “Our team looks forward to building strong partnerships within Huntsville’s dynamic defense community and collaborating with local businesses to advance our customers’ missions.”

QinetiQ is hiring professionals across multiple disciplines to join their Huntsville team. To see the positions, click here.
