Liliana Peinder has officially entered the race for Huntsville City Council District 3, promising a campaign focused on managing growth, strengthening community services and expanding educational opportunities.
Peinder announced her candidacy last week after qualifying ended on the 24th and will host a public campaign kickoff event Thursday, July 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lola’s Cocina on Carl T. Jones Drive. The event is free and open to the public.
According to her campaign, Peinder is seeking the District 3 seat to advocate for smart, sustainable growth while investing in the infrastructure and community resources residents rely on every day.
The campaign said Peinder’s priorities include managing Huntsville’s rapid growth, strengthening social infrastructure and community services, building partnerships with local schools and creating economic opportunities across every neighborhood in District 3.
Her platform centers on four primary areas:
- Smart, sustainable growth management.
- Investment in social infrastructure and community services.
- Strong educational partnerships.
- Expanding equitable opportunities for residents throughout District 3.
The campaign said Peinder’s vision is focused on strengthening systems that support families, including education, workforce development, transportation, infrastructure and community services.
The kickoff event will include complimentary chips and salsa, half-price margaritas, a full Tex-Mex menu and family activities, including a bounce house.
Peinder joins incumbent Dr. Jennie Robinson and candidate John Stuart in the race for the District 3 seat. Huntsville’s municipal election is scheduled for Aug. 25.
