The Village Green at Clift Farm is gearing up for a full slate of spring and summer events, and organizers are inviting the community to help bring them to life.
From farmers and artists to musicians and classic car enthusiasts, Village Green at Clift Farm is now accepting participants for a growing lineup of free, family-friendly events designed to bring Madison residents together outdoors.
“The Village Green at Clift Farm is really an outdoor gathering space where friends, families and locals can come together and enjoy being outside and enjoying each other,” said Whitney Bonfim, events coordinator for Clift Farm. “Whether it’s an art walk, a concert, or the farm stand, people are coming for more than one thing. They’re coming to be part of the community.”
Located in the heart of Clift Farm, a 550-acre mixed-use development along U.S. 72, the Village Green serves as a central hub for events that bring together local talent, small businesses and neighborhood connection. Bonfim said the goal is to showcase what makes Madison unique while keeping events accessible.
“Everything we do is about getting people involved,” she said. “It’s free for artists to show their work, free for families to come enjoy face painting or yard games. We want people to feel like this is their space.”
Opportunities to participate
Several recurring events are now open for registration.
Cruise Into Village Green car meets begin in March and will take place one Saturday each month from 9 a.m. to noon. The free, family friendly shows welcome both classic and modern vehicles.
Tuesday farmers markets will run from May through October, from 4 to 7 p.m., featuring local growers and producers alongside live music and activities. Bonfim emphasized the market’s focus on true farm vendors.
“The farm stand at Clift Farm is truly a farmers market,” she said. “We really want local farmers to be part of this.”
First Thursday Art Walks kick off in May and continue monthly through October. The first event will spotlight student artwork from Madison County and Madison City Schools, followed by local artists throughout the season.
Live music and concert programming will also be announced soon, with plans to feature local musicians through partnerships with area organizations.
Additional programming includes monthly story time for children, outdoor yoga, movie nights on the lawn and seasonal community events.
Bonfim said feedback from last year’s events, including a holiday market that drew hundreds of visitors, showed residents want more things to do close to home, especially during the week.
“People told us they want something to do on a Tuesday or Wednesday night,” she said. “That’s the fun part about Village Green. You can grab dinner, walk over for an art walk or hear live music and make an evening out of it.”
How to sign up
Artists, farmers, vendors, musicians and car enthusiasts can find participation forms on the Village Green at Clift Farm website under the events tab, with direct links also available through social media profiles. Questions can also be submitted online or by direct message.
“We’re excited to see what the community brings to this space,” Bonfim said. “These events really come to life because of the people who show up and take part.”
Final dates and full schedules will be announced closer to spring, but organizers encourage those interested in participating to sign up now.
“There’s something for everyone,” Bonfim said. “And that’s exactly how we want it.”
