HUNTSVILLE — Nate Oats has made an impact on fans of Crimson Tide basketball and is an inspiration.

Next month, he will bring his winning attitude to Huntsville in the Village of Promise’s Speaker Series with the theme “Power Forward Through Education.”

“We invite you to join us for Speaker Series 2025 for an evening of impact and inspiration” said Village of Promise CEO Dana M. Gillis. “Come and experience remarks by Coach Nate Oats and the testimonies of a few of our Village of Promise Families and how their lives have transformed through the power of education.”

The Speaker Series provides a stage for national thought leaders to share their insight with the Huntsville community on innovative solutions for addressing generational poverty and overcoming challenges for generations to come.

Last year, more than 700 community guests experienced the event with astronaut Dr. Mae Jemison as the guest speaker.

The April 22 event tips off at the Von Braun Center’s Saturn Ballroom with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner from 6-8 p.m.
