Huntsville-based Aventis LLC has been awarded a potential $523.9 million U.S. Air Force contract to provide technical and management advisory services supporting aerospace research, development, testing and evaluation programs.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract was announced by the Department of War as part of a group of awards totaling nearly $1.9 billion. Aventis received the second-largest award among the four contractors selected.

Other awardees include Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, which received a contract valued at up to $934.1 million, and Gauss Management Research and Engineering Inc., which received an award valued at up to $115.9 million.

Under the contract, Aventis will provide engineering and advisory support for Air Force aerospace research, development, test and evaluation activities at military installations across the country. Work is expected to continue through Sept. 30, 2031.

Performance will support operations at numerous Air Force and Space Force installations, including Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee, Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, Edwards Air Force Base in California, Hill Air Force Base in Utah, Patrick Space Force Base in Florida, Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and Gunter Annex in Alabama, among others.

No funding was obligated at the time of the award. The Air Force Test Center at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, serves as the contracting activity.

Headquartered in downtown Huntsville, Aventis provides technical, engineering and management advisory services to federal defense customers and has become a growing presence in the Defense Department’s engineering and technical support sector.
