HUNTSVILLE — Outpost Technologies has been awarded a contract from the Johnson Space Center to provide equipment for the International Space Station.

The nearly $1 million contract will entail the design, development, and delivery of space station fluid quick disconnect systems, the Huntsville-based company said in a news release. These components are important for the functionality and safety of operations aboard the space station, the release said.

“This is a win for both our team and the International Space Station Program,” said Chase Wortman, president of Outpost Technologies. “Our team is fully committed to pioneering industry defining solutions to meet the stringent requirements of space missions. We look forward to collaborating closely with NASA to ensure the success of this project.”

The hardware is scheduled to be received by Johnson on or before Jan. 10, 2025, according to the company.
