Teledyne Brown Engineering, one of Huntsville’s largest full-spectrum engineering and advanced manufacturing companies, won multiple (GSA) ASTRO awards for mission operations, space, and maritime pools. Each contract has a five-year base with an option to extend five more years.

Sponsored by the Department of Defense and managed by the General Services Administration (GSA), ASTRO is a multiple award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract that includes services to research, develop, maintain, and operate manned, optionally manned, and unmanned platforms, and robotics systems.

ASTRO focuses on providing the DoD with innovative, future technology, products, solutions and capabilities across all domains with an aim to streamline and define intersecting needs.

“We are excited to be one of the teams selected to support the Department of Defense in the Maritime, Space, and Mission Operations sectors,” said Teledyne Brown Engineering president Jan Hess. “This contract award allows us the opportunity to expand our support of our nation’s defense leveraging our advanced technologies and developing new technologies for manned, and unmanned platforms and robotic systems.”
