Torch Technologies promotes Amanda Clark to senior vice president

Defense contractor Torch Technologies has promoted Amanda Clark to senior vice president and group lead of the company’s Advanced Concept Engineering, or ACE, Group, the company announced Tuesday.

In the role, Clark will oversee more than 650 employee-owners across 11 locations in the United States and abroad.

“Amanda has a proven history of success,” Torch President Brad Walker said in a statement. “She is exceptionally well-suited to build on the ACE Group’s strong foundation and lead it to even greater success. Her ability to develop high-performing teams, strengthen customer relationships, and identify new opportunities will be instrumental moving forward.”

Clark most recently served as vice president of enterprise program management, where she worked with Torch operating groups managing company contracts and supporting new business development efforts. According to the company, she managed a contract portfolio valued at more than $3 billion supporting Army, Air Force and Navy customers.

She also previously served as program manager for the EXPRESS Program and as executive chief of staff, working with company leadership on strategic planning and corporate initiatives.

Clark has more than 25 years of experience in the automotive and defense industries, including work in program management, business development, product development, quality assurance and product testing.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in engineering management from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Torch Technologies, headquartered in Huntsville, is a 100% employee-owned defense contractor providing research, development and engineering services to the Department of Defense.
