All that and dim sum! Steam Boys opens in Madison; first in Alabama

MADISON — Chinese comfort food.

That’s what Steam Boys says separates it from other Chinese restaurants.

Providing a warm environment for its customers, Steam Boys says its core is a deep respect for diversity.

“Our food happens to be Chinese, but it is without exception food to be enjoyed by all,” Steam Boys says on its website. “In both our team and our customer base, we strive to include people from all walks of life.

“Food should never be limited to a certain race, age, sex or any other dividing factor.”

The Nashville-based restaurant has opened at Clift Farm in Madison – the first in Alabama. The restaurant is open daily 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Boasting on its dumplings (“best dumplings you ever had!”), Steam Boys also features  noodle soups and its infamous bao buns, also known as “steamboys.”

The Steam Boys team spent six months in China learning how to make traditional dishes. Their mission is to offer everyone the opportunity to taste the traditional Chinese dishes.

The restaurant won the 2021 Best Chinese Restaurant award by The Tennessean and Nashville Scene.
