Cheers! Enable Madison County fundraiser set for Yellowhammer Brewing

HUNTSVILLE – Enable Madison County, formerly known as CASA, is celebrating its 45th year of helping the homebound and senior citizens with the fundraiser “Brews for Enable” at Campus No. 805.

The event is March 7 from 5-7 p.m. at Yellowhammer Brewing. The Huntsville brewery will donate $1 for each pint purchased between 5 and 9 p.m. as Enable celebrates a milestone in its mission to empower elderly and homebound individuals to live independently, safely, and with dignity.

Funding raised from the event will support Enable initiatives such as building wheelchair ramps, cultivating produce in the Enable garden, providing transportation services, and more.

Tickets are $40, which includes two brew tickets, light appetizers, and a chance at prizes. Customers are asked to bring items for the Enable client closet for even more chances to win.

Items include:

  • 6-pack paper towels
  • Adult wipes
  • Disposable bed pads
  • Packs of new socks
  • New blankets
  • 1-pack adult disposable underwear (M-Lg, -XL)

Enable Madison County is a nonprofit agency that provides services to individuals age 60 and older and to the homebound (wheelchair and bed-bound) of all ages since 1979.

Enable Madison County’s mission is to enable the aging and homebound to live at home independently, safely, and with dignity. The aging-in-place program is designed to enable the elderly and homebound to remain in their homes by providing volunteer services that specifically address their special physical and emotional needs.

The organization will hold its annual A Night for Enable in April.
