Christkindlmarket Huntsville once again bringing holiday cheer to Orion Amphitheater

HUNTSVILLE — Christmas cheer is once again coming to The Orion Amphitheater.

Next month’s Christkindlmarket Huntsville will give holiday shoppers a chance to experience German and European traditions with local influence while browsing for gifts at the entertainment venue.

“We are delighted to return to the Orion Amphitheatre for the third year of Christkindlmarket Huntsville,” said Arts Huntsville Executive Director Allison Dillon-Jauken. “This special holiday market is a fantastic opportunity to find unique, one-of-a-kind gifts from regional artists as we come together with friends and family to enjoy the holiday season.”

Christkindlmarket Huntsville will be open 5-8 p.m. Dec. 13, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Dec. 14 and 15. The market is free to attend with free onsite parking.

Organizers said crafts include handcrafted ornaments, decorations, jewelry, and apparel. Artwork will also be offered by juried professional artists including painting, drawing, mixed media, clay, glass, jewelry, fiber, photography, sculpture, and wood.

In addition to shopping, Christkindlmarket Huntsville will offer live music throughout the three-day market.

  • Dec. 13 music performances are scheduled from 5-8 p.m. with the Huntsville Little German Band, Mulan Throneberry, and Steven Miller.
  • Dec. 14, music from 10:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. features Steven Miller, Winslow Davis, Josh Allison, and Frank Caravella.
