Huntsville-based Dynetics wins $670.5M Army contract for work on hypersonic missile

HUNTSVILLE — Dynetics has been awarded a $670.5 million contract from the Army for work on the hypersonic missile program.

According to the Department of Defense, work on the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the common hypersonic glide body and thermal protection system will be performed in Huntsville with an estimated completion date of Oct. 31, 2029.

The Common Hypersonic Glide Body will be the base of the Department of Defense’s offensive hypersonic missile. The C-HGB includes a warhead, guidance system, cabling, and thermal protection shield.
