Invariant awarded more than $200M in defense contracts since July

HUNTSVILLE – A trio of high-value contracts has given a boost to a Huntsville small business.

Over the last three months, Invariant has been awarded contracts from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Advanced Technology International (AMTC), and the Naval Energetic Systems and Technologies (NEST), collectively totaling more than $200 million.

Invariant officials said they plan to deliver comprehensive, state-of-the-art defense solutions with the company’s expertise in modeling and simulation, optics, hardware, and software capabilities.

The awarded contracts are:

  • In July, Invariant secured a three-year, $100 million Indefinite Delivery Requirement contract from the DLA to develop and support systems related to the Multi-Use Launcher Electronics (MULE) platform. MULE serves as a versatile launcher interface capable of deploying missiles, rockets, and other munitions from both ground and air-based platforms, enhancing operational versatility.
  • In September, Invariant was awarded a $94.5 million Small Business Innovation Research Phase III contract from AMTC. This contract focuses on researching, developing, and integrating advanced component technologies to optimize performance through man-on-the-loop control of diverse systems and munitions. The prototypes developed will significantly improve precision targeting while reducing operator workload, further cementing Invariant’s expertise in modeling and simulation technology.
  • In October, Invariant secured an additional $6 million contract from their NEST contract to support the delivery of additional STAKE systems, which are critical in helping soldiers detect and neutralize Unmanned Aerial Systems threats. This contract further strengthens Invariant’s partnership with the Navy, which began in September 2023.

“These awards are a testament to Invariant’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of defense technology,” said President David Anderson. “We look forward to deepening our collaboration with the Department of Defense, delivering innovative solutions that enhance mission effectiveness and ensure our soldiers are equipped with the most advanced tools possible.”
