Madison Visionary Partners will host its fourth annual Madison Visionary Awards on March 25, recognizing local volunteers, youth leaders, and business professionals who have helped shape the Madison community.

The community-wide awards luncheon is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at the Jackson Center. Tickets are now on sale, and a limited number of sponsorships are available through March 4.

During the event, Madison Visionary Partners will present awards for Community Volunteer of the Year, Youth Volunteer of the Year, Philanthropic Business Person of the Year, and Madison Visionary of the Year.

Organizers announced finalists in several categories ahead of the event. Community Volunteer of the Year finalists include Trina Bishop, Crystal McBrayer, and Miranda Nichols. Finalists for Philanthropic Business Person of the Year are Scott and Amy Edwards, Summit 7, and Eugene Jung of Champy’s of Madison.

Youth Volunteer of the Year finalists include Blake Lugos and Kendall Lugos, both students at James Clemens High School, and Joshua Macri, who is homeschooled.

“One of the elements of Madison’s success is its people, and MVP strives to honor the volunteers who work every day to build community in our city,” said Christina Hearne, executive director of Madison Visionary Partners. “Many of them are working behind the scenes, and these awards give us the opportunity to bring their contributions into the spotlight.”

Hearne said finalists will be featured in the March edition of Madison Living Magazine and noted strong community participation during the nomination process.

“The honorees represent an outstanding group of volunteers and businesses whose dedication continues to make a meaningful impact in Madison,” she said.

In addition to the awards, Madison Visionary Partners will present Community Impact Grants totaling $12,000 to local nonprofit organizations supporting programs and events that benefit the Madison community.

“Any way we can enhance and support nonprofit activity in Madison is beneficial to the community,” Hearne said. “We have some great projects that will receive funding.”

MVP Board Chair Chuck Brand said the organization plays a key role in supporting the city’s continued growth through volunteer engagement and community partnerships.

“Madison’s leaders have a vision for our community that MVP, along with other organizations, can help bring to reality,” Brand said. “Support for our mission is integral as we continue to grow as a city and a region.”

Madison Visionary Partners, founded in 2014, is a community nonprofit focused on building philanthropic support and collaborative partnerships for community projects aimed at enriching quality of life in Madison.

Tickets for the Madison Visionary Awards will be available for purchase through March 18. More information is available at mvpmadison.org/visionaryawards.
