Madison Visionary Partners awards $14,500 in Community Impact Grants

MADISON — Madison Visionary Partners doled out $14,500 in micro-grants to seven local nonprofits through its Madison Community Impact Grants program.

The seven organizations were selected from 21 grant requests totaling $42,000, three times the amount committed to the first-year grant program.

The organizations and grants are:

  • The E.WE Foundation, a healthcare advocacy organization for families with rare diseases – $1,250 for its Zebra Project in support of self-care, mental and emotional health needs and end of life.
  • Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater and Academy – $2,500 for its Arts Education program in Madison City Schools.
  • Huntsville Hospital Foundation/Madison Hospital – $2,500 for its Car Seat Safety program to teach parents how to properly install and maintain car seats.
  • Huntsville Library Foundation/Madison Public Library – $2,500 for its Music Garden.
  • The Madison City Community Orchestra – $750 for its fall concert.
  • Madison City Schools – $2,500 for its Paws for a Cause program in support of high school students with a passion for improving animal welfare.
  • Opera Huntsville – $2,500 for its Opera Bytes program in support of Opera in the Park at Home Place Park in Madison.
