No Golden Dome discussion, but Space Command update on the agenda for annual Space & Missile Defense Symposium

HUNTSVILLE — While a panel discussion on “Golden Dome for America” has been removed from the agenda, the annual Space & Missile Defense Symposium is hosting a discussion on another topic of interest to the Rocket City.

The symposium, the leading educational, professional development and networking event in the space and missile defense community, is Tuesday through Thursday at the Von Braun Center. For registration information, click here. The agenda can be seen here.

An update on the U.S. Space Command, hosted by SPACECOM Commander Gen. Stephen Whiting, is scheduled for Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. in the VBC’s Mark C. Smith Concert Hall. A panel discussion, led by Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Thomas James, will run from 10:30-11:15 a.m.

A notice on the symposium website said, “Golden Dome for America Panel”, originally scheduled on Thursday morning … has been removed from our program. Information regarding Golden Dome for America will be promulgated by the government.”

The panel was to be held in the concert hall.

The Missile Defense Agency is hosting “The Next Generation Missile Defense Industry Summit” at 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the VBC’s Propst Arena.

The Next Generation Missile Defense Industry Summit is not affiliated with the Space and Missile Defense Symposium. Separate registration with MDA is required to attend this event.
